The Expobiomasa fair hosts the II Finnish Hispanic Seminar

Finland, a country in which bioenergy represents 35% of the total energy consumed, has a long tradition in the use of biomass for energy purposes.

In the early 1990s, the development of the 'biomass energy service' model began. Currently, 620 medium-sized installations, between 300 and 6,000 kW, operate with this model. Of them, 141 are municipal and heat more than 200 schools, daycare centers and nursing homes, among other buildings. A third of these energy service facilities are also 'district heatings' that supply heat to many customers.

In Finland, half of the population is connected to district heating thanks to more than 15,000 kilometers of hot water pipe networks.

Good relations with Finnish companies, associations and administrations have favored the celebration on September 25, 2019 at Feria de Valladolid, of Finland Day at Expobiomasa 2019. Coinciding with the II Finnish Hispanic Biomass Seminar.
