MónNatura Pirineus, a bioclimatic and sustainable building

With the help of Cervós Grup , a company dedicated to construction and carrying out renovations to improve the energy efficiency of buildings, the installation of a 200 kW Herz Firematic biomass boiler supplied by Termosun has been carried out in the central building of MónNatura Pirineus.

This nature center, inaugurated in 2002, is part of the Catalunya La Pedrera Foundation and is located in the Lleida municipality of Son, in the Aneu Valley . The center, which offers accommodation and activities related to nature to raise awareness of the environmental value of the Pyrenees, has more than 3,000 m2 of space inside its bioclimatic building.

With the installation of the biomass boiler, the MónNatura Pirineus center has energy-efficient facilities for which it uses up to three renewable energy sources. In addition to chips from local forest remains, the building uses solar thermal and solar photovoltaic energy.
