How to correctly choose a pellet stove

The company Ocariz&Calor has summarized the fundamental advice for correctly choosing a pellet stove, a piece of equipment that is increasingly in demand by users who decide to abandon fossil fuels and opt for biomass to cover their demand for thermal energy.

These are the 4 basic tips:

1) That it is approved and certified CE EN 14785. It is also recommended that it have other approvals and certifications, including Art. 15a BV-G (Austria), LRV (Switzerland), BIMSchv (Germany), Flamme Verte (France), etc

2) That its internal structure, including the basket, is made of sheet steel, never cast, nor does it contain perlite or refractory stone (they retain heat while the steel allows for rapid heat exchange). In its case, Ocariz&Calor always manufactures with 5mm thick sheet metal (never 3mm) and double welding seams, which is the minimum required by the standard, which guarantees great durability of the equipment.

3) That they are provided with a fan motor to expel hot air. The Eco-Aire stoves from Ocariz & Calor allow a greater flow of hot air as their fan motor is oversized. Forced ventilation is always recommended, never convection.

4) Use high quality wood pellets as fuel, approved, certified and marked EN Plus A1 (never classes A2 or B) and correctly install the smoke outlet system.
