The Spanish Association for Energy Recovery of Biomass – AVEBIOM – officially launches the Expobiomasa call, which will be held from September 24 to 26, 2019, with the opening of the contracting period. AVEBIOM convenes the 12th edition of the Specialized Fair in Biomass Technology in Valladolid, with the hope of continuing to promote the largest professional meeting specialized in the energy use of biomass, a reference for Spain and Portugal, and a commercial bridge between Europe and Latin America.
Expobiomasa, which continues on a biennial basis, thus reinforces its outstanding position in the ranking as one of the five best fairs in the sector worldwide and will alternate in the calendar of international events with the celebration of important fairs, such as Progetto Fuoco in Verona.
A growing sector
Expobiomasa is a reflection of a sector in constant evolution year after year. The fair is evolving in parallel to the revitalization of the sector, which is seeing new electricity generation and biogas projects, and above all an increase in demand for the installation of thermal biomass equipment.
It is notable that three hundred professionals from the American continent attended the last Expobiomasa, highlighting the participation of visitors from Mexico, Chile and Argentina, countries that very actively promote the use of biomass as a source of energy and in which it is increasing. the importation of technology very quickly.
Among Europeans, Portugal, due to its proximity and importance to the sector, continues to be the most represented country after Spain, both in exhibiting companies and in visitors. The last edition we had more than a thousand visitors from the Portuguese country. Other notable countries are Italy and France.
Expobiomasa will be the most important specialized fair in the sector in Europe in 2019. This is the opinion of the European biomass associations and exhibiting firms, which when surveyed indicate that 94% of Expobiomasa is equal to or better than other professional fairs in the energy sector.
The fair is one of the few events capable of offering figures on the economic return on investment in participation. According to the organization's surveys, it is estimated that the last edition of Expobiomasa facilitated an increase in sales to all exhibitors of close to 17.2 million euros, 25% more than in 2015.
