AVEBIOM organizes a meeting to promote agrobiomass and renewable gas in Spain

The Spanish Biomass Association convenes representatives of the agricultural, livestock and agro-industrial sectors, agents of the bioenergy sector and senior political representatives of the country on May 26 in Palencia to lay the foundations for a dialogue that promotes agrobiomass and Renewable gas as levers for decarbonization and the demographic challenge in Spain.

Representatives of agricultural professional organizations, agri-food cooperatives and agro-industries will participate in the event , and six success cases will be presented that show ways and models. of management of these resources that combine profitability, cutting emissions and reducing environmental impact.

AVEBIOM understands that there is a pressing need to act in rural areas, generate local value, attract talent, wealth and population . This challenge requires activating all possible levers and biomass and the generation of renewable gas constitute, without a doubt, one of them: each year Spain generates more than 12 million tons of agricultural field remains and more than 50 million m3 of slurry , whose proper management and valorization must be a pillar of the bioeconomy.

It is held in Villamartín de Campos (Palencia), at the facilities of Farming Agrícola, a company that is a case of successful agricultural business in rural areas, which has opted for decarbonization thanks to solar energy and a heat network fed with straw pellets from their own farms.
