Peláez Renovables achieves the BICA Andalusian biomass quality seal

The Peláez Renovables company has obtained the BICA Andalusian biomass quality seal granted by the Andalusian Renewable Energy Association (CLANER) to those solid biofuels of Andalusian origin that meet the quality requirements required to obtain the certificate , whose Standards are above current national and international regulations (UNE and ISO).

The BICA seal, achieved by Peláez Renovables after passing the rigorous certification process required for this, certifies that the biomass produced and sold by the company has the most demanding requirements in functionality and characteristics such as calorific value, density and dryness of the product.

The general director of the company, José Peláez, has shown that he feels “very satisfied with the certification obtained and for being able to place Peláez Renovables in a leadership position as a company that offers its clients biomass of the highest quality currently possible, thanks to the investments technological and innovations launched by the company for this purpose.”

For their part, the Andalusian Renewable Energy Association has insisted on the need for the different producers and marketers of biomass in Andalusia to have a quality seal, such as the BICA, which guarantees consumers that their biofuel, Whether olive pit, pellet or wood chip, it is suitable for use in new generation boilers and installations such as those currently offered on the market, with greater heating and environmental performance.

Hence, CLANER encourages biomass companies to contact the association to begin certifying their products using the BICA seal, which, among other advantages, represents a notable factor of differentiation and competitiveness for companies specialized in solid biofuels.
