New portable solution for cleaning ducts and chimneys

TMSABANZA, a Riojan company specialized in the manufacture of modular metal chimneys, launches Chimcleaner by Sabanza, a new portable comprehensive system for professional mechanical chimney sweeping of smoke evacuation ducts and chimneys.

The system was presented in Valladolid simultaneously with the Expobiomasa fair, arousing great interest.

The TM Sabanza R&D department has developed a solution that extends the useful life of modular chimneys. In recent years, with the scourge of the crisis in Spain, chimney sweeping, cleaning and maintenance tasks have been neglected. This situation leads to non-compliance with the UNE 123001.2012 standard, in its section 12, which prescribes at least annual cleaning (or more, depending on the hours of use of the device and the fuel used, especially more necessary in the case of pellets). and biomass) of this type of conduits.

This lack of maintenance causes the accumulation of soot and creosote and, with this, causes worse combustion and therefore loss of efficiency by increasing the fuel consumption of the facilities, an increase in emissions of solid particles into the ambient air, bad odors in the home, and increases the risk of fire in the home.

To facilitate and simplify these maintenance tasks, Sabanza has developed Chimcleaner, a powerful and silent portable mechanical brushing equipment that is operated by a single person from the base of the installation, without having to go up to the roof, and allows chimney sweeping and maintenance of a fireplace with cleanliness, comfort and safety. And with its optional video inspection equipment, it allows you to verify the situation of the chimney before and after chimney sweeping and maintenance.
