From April 10 to 20, the public will be able to vote for one of the eighteen nominations presented in the Best Innovative Practice category of the Innovation Award organized by AVEBIOM together with the INtercamBIOM network and in collaboration with the Expobiomasa fair.
The AVEBIOM Innovation Award also includes a Technological Innovation category . The awards will be presented at the Valladolid Trade Fair on May 9, 2023, at 1:00 p.m., following the official opening of Expobiomasa.
The innovative practices presented include mobile field briquetting machines, novel combustion systems, stoves that simplify cleaning, new ways of selling biomass, digital innovation for efficiency, and biomass self-consumption linked to fire prevention.
One of the main objectives of the INtercamBIOM network (BRANCHES project) is to give visibility to little-known innovative practices that can inspire other companies and entrepreneurs to launch new and disruptive businesses based on the use of biomass.
The application period for the Best Innovative Practice category, in its second edition, began on January 15 and ended on March 31. Public voting will remain open until April 20. Afterward, a professional jury will evaluate the applications, and their results will be averaged with the public vote to determine the winning practice.
Prize endowment
The Best Innovative Practice award consists of a series of promotional activities to publicize the practice through seminars, publications and other visibility actions.
Furthermore, the Technological Innovation award includes a prize of €2,000, and two runner-up prizes of €500 each will also be awarded. Forty-one applications were submitted in this category.
