A guide to help with biomass project tenders

Several companies in the sector of sale, distribution and technical service of automated biomass boilers - pellet, chip, firewood - have prepared, with the collaboration of AVEBIOM, a document of principles called "Guide to help for a biomass tender" .

The guide offers information, objective data and key points on the use and valorization of biomass, with the aim of achieving greater dissemination of the scope of this renewable energy and providing public officials with evaluation criteria when implementing equipment and components in public facilities that use solid biofuels.

The document has already been sent to all engineering associations in the country, and will soon be sent to the architects' associations, both of which are key specifiers for equipment in HVAC projects. Several regional associations have contacted the organization to express their interest in the matter.

The guide aims to help ensure that the technical specifications governing public tenders in this field adapt their technical requirements to the needs of each facility, based on objective parameters and demanding performance levels that meet the needs of each user. All of this is in accordance with the principles of transparency and free competition that must govern all public tenders.

Juan Jesús Ramos, technician at AVEBIOM and responsible for the Installer Seal, assures that "the guide makes available to the various contracting bodies of the public administrations and to the specifiers and designers the experience and knowledge of our companies and of the technicians of AVEBIOM so that the choice of equipment and components is the most appropriate to the specific needs of the bidder.".
