Overall, the markets have conveyed positive feelings for the sale of pellet stoves, very different from the concerns that marked the World Sustainable Energy Days two and three years ago.
According to Gilles Gauthier, CEO of the Eur Pellet Council (EPC), markets like France are meeting the perfect conditions to develop renewable energies, and in particular biomass , thanks to the implementation of the CO2 tax and the plans to replace obsolete oil boilers.
The stove market is regaining momentum thanks to the recovery of the Italian market, which now installs 175,000 units per year (still far from the more than 200,000 of years past) and the excellent trend of the French market, with 150,000 stoves installed per year.
In Spain the stove market is doing well, approaching 50,000 stoves installed per year .
