Relevant news 2016. savings of 50,000 eurfor a community thanks a heat network with biomass

After 5 months of operation, an 800 kW biomass heat network, installed to provide hot water and heating to 400 apartments in Poitiers (France) in which Satis Energías Renovables has carried out the budgeting, control and construction management, has saved users €50,000, double what was expected compared to the diesel they previously used.

The boiler installed is the CSA 800 GM model by D'Alessandro Termomeccanica, with 800 kW and a mobile grill. The boiler with a mobile grate was chosen to allow the use of any type of biomass, from pellets to chips with 50% humidity, and ensure yields greater than 90%. 

To reduce particle emissions into the atmosphere, a ceramic bag filter with a forced draft fan was installed. 

The fuel is stored in a new underground silo that has been built on the site of the diesel tank. It has 225 m3 and inside it a mobile floor has been installed with a conveyor to transport it to the boiler.

Creatio Energy Systems , a company specialized in energy monitoring and efficiency, is responsible for the complete remote management of the room: biomass boiler, diesel support boilers, feeding and storage system and filtering system.
