Remelluri Winery undertook a renovation of its estate aimed at improving the energy efficiency of its facilities and achieving greater cost savings. To this end, they decided to upgrade their district heating system, opting for the installation of Rehau . Specifically, they reduced the number of heat generation points from the previous five to a single room with two boilers that distribute heat and hot water throughout the entire property. This also replaced the previous 370 kW system, which used heating oil, with a 140 kW system that utilizes a renewable energy source based on forest biomass in pellet form.
Rehau's Rauvitherm pre-insulated pipes were chosen because they consist of a high-density polyethylene ringed tubular sheath and are highly resistant to on-site damage. Internally, they are composed of several layers of longitudinally sealed thermal insulation foam, ensuring a watertight seal in case of pipe damage. The inner tube is made of PE-X and has been specifically designed for high-temperature applications. Furthermore, this system can be adapted to any requirement thanks to its comprehensive range of accessories.
A spectacular renovation of the Remelluri wineries, which, thanks to Rauvitherm by Rehau, have managed to optimize their district heating installation, reducing energy consumption and achieving a significant economic saving of 40%.
