The main square of the fairgrounds will host this exhibition with working equipment, where visitors can discover the advantages of using biomass to generate heat, as well as request information on the possibilities offered by this energy source in the domestic sphere, which does not pollute, is renewable, cheaper and local.
'Biomass in Your Home ' is an initiative of AVEBIOM and the Institute for Energy Diversification and Saving (IDAE ) , whose objective is to raise awareness of the advantages of using biomass as an energy source for heating and hot water in homes. The exhibition has already visited 23 Spanish cities since its launch in Valladolid in February 2015, attracting more than 330,000 visitors during its 91-day run.
In addition to showcasing technical equipment, solutions, facilities and biofuels, the exhibition also offers professional alternatives to decorators, renovators, real estate agencies, property managers and homeowners' associations that want to provide energy alternatives and savings to their clients.
As Javier Díaz, president of AVEBIOM, explained, “Using biomass for heating in homes improves the quality of life for citizens and, incidentally, the future of our children, by using a renewable biofuel that is CO2-neutral. Furthermore, biomass is found and produced in our forests, thus creating jobs here and leaving the added value within our region. Biomass for heating will help us move closer to energy self-sufficiency, preventing the outflow of foreign currency to pay for oil and gas, and significantly reducing energy bills and CO2 emissions into the atmosphere.”.
