Ingeteam and Magnon Green Energy consolidate their trust with the award of the operation and maintenance services of the plant that Magnon, the renewable energy subsidiary of the Ence Group, has in Puertollano (Ciudad Real).
The new contract for the maintenance of the biomass-fired renewable energy plant in Puertollano, known as Biollano, has a duration of six years and involves the hiring of approximately thirty people . Inaugurated in early 2020, Biollano 50 MW is an example of a just energy transition , as Magnon used the former Elcogás site for its construction, which contributed to boosting the local economy and promoting the decarbonization of the Spanish energy system.
As a result of this agreement, the collaboration and trust between Ingeteam and Magnon is further strengthened with the renewal of the operation and maintenance contracts for the three biomass plants where Ingeteam provides these services, extending their duration. Specifically, the contracts are extended for the La Loma biomass plant in Villanueva del Arzobispo (Jaén) and the Enemansa plant in Villarta de San Juan (Ciudad Real), each with a capacity of 16 MW, and for Magnon's 20 MW facility in Mérida (Badajoz).
The agreement with Magnon will increase Ingeteam's biomass-based power capacity by 50 MW, reaching a total of 152 MW .
