Expobiomasa democratizes its Innovation Award and opens the call for entries to all professionals

Without exclusion: all professionals, companies and public or private entities in the sector interested in competing with their projects, products or services for the Expobiomasa Innovation Award may submit their application.

In this edition of the fair, held in Valladolid from September 22nd to 24th, participants can enter regardless of whether they are present at the event. The competition is now open to all interested parties, and exhibitor status is no longer a requirement.

With this modification to the Award Rules, AVEBIOM, as the organizer of the competition, seeks to delve deeper into the sector, eliminating the limitation on participation, thus increasing the opportunities to gather a more complete and varied sample of technological innovations.

What remains unchanged is the nature of the award, which maintains its objective of contributing to the revitalization of the sector by recognizing initiatives that boost its economic development. Once again, a single category will be established, in which one Prize and two Runner-Up Prizes will be awarded, worth eur2,000 and eur500 respectively. As before, all information provided in each application for the Prize will be included in the Expobiomasa Innovation Dossier, which will be published on the official website prior to the event and distributed to partner media outlets and the specialized press to promote its dissemination before the fair.

Once again this year, in addition to the technological component and the degree of innovation, the applications will also be judged on originality, applicability, and energy efficiency to determine the winning option. Experience from previous editions suggests that the innovative element often lies not so much in the advancements themselves, but in their application.
