With an influx of 16,540 professional visitors, above the figure for the previous edition, Expobiomasa 2019 has clearly exceeded the organization's forecasts, which had calculated more moderate data due to the reduction in the number of days of the fair, from four to three, in relation to that of 2017.
Although at the end of the fair the estimation of the generated business volume was still unknown, the first data point to a significantly higher than 2017, which stood above 17 million euros.

The best of the twelve fairs held
Javier Díaz, president of the Spanish Association for Energy Valorization of Biomass (Avebiom), the organizing entity of Expobiomasa, assured that both he personally and the entire organizing team “we are very satisfied with the development and the results of Expobiomasa 2019, which has undoubtedly been the best of the twelve editions held so far, due to the quality of the offer that the exhibiting companies have brought, due to the number of professionals we have received and due to the volume of business generated, which exceeds more than the figure from the previous edition.”
According to the president of Avebiom, “the sector faces this season with optimism, with relatively high sales expectations.”
And this is due, he added, to two fundamental factors. “First, the fact that the biomass alternative has permeated society as a solution to domestic and industrial heating needs, with a clean, renewable fuel that takes advantage of a local raw material that cannot be relocated and offers a cheaper price. and stable. And secondly, due to the volatility of fossil fuel prices, which have skyrocketed again in recent weeks.”
