Since February 1, 2013, it has been mandatory for ducts intended for the evacuation of smoke from fire to have CE marking according to standard EN 12101:7 in addition to fire resistance test certificates.
It is important to remember that this test standard, and therefore the product specifications for fire smoke ducts, are completely different from those for ventilation ducts. Therefore, ducts certified for ventilation applications cannot be used for fire smoke control applications under any circumstances, but the reverse is possible, as the requirements for the latter are much stricter.
Dinak, a specialist in fire-resistant flues and chimneys, has its DINAK EI 120 fire-resistant product range fully certified according to current standards:
- Ventilation:EI120 (ve-ho) i↔o
- Fire Smoke Control: EI120 S500multi
- CE Marking EN 12101:7: 0370-CPR-1915
