The ENplus quality seal for pellets reaches 1,000 certified companies

ENplus, the quality seal for domestic wood pellets, reached 1,000 certified companies worldwide in June 2020. The seal reinforces its leadership in the high-quality wood pellet sector globally by certifying more than 1,000 companies since June 2020. In just a decade, ENplus has managed to dominate the market with its certification scheme.

Today, ENplus comprises 526 pellet producers, 471 distributors, and 3 service providers in 46 countries. Total production of certified pellets exceeds 12 million tons, representing approximately 77% of the eurheating market, according to estimates from Bioenergy Eur's "Pellet Report 2020.".

In 2019, Germany remained the largest producer of ENplus® certified pellets, with over 2.7 million tons. Austria again ranked second, followed by Russia, France, and Poland. All the countries in the top five increased their production compared to the previous year. In Spain, 585,000 tons of certified pellets were produced in 2019, representing 82% of the country's total pellet production.
