In the framework of EU action in climate and energy until 2030, three objectives have been established: reduce greenhouse gas emissions, at least 40%; Increase the quota of renewable energy at the EU scale in at least 27%; and increase energy efficiency by 27%. Avebiom's aspiration when selecting this issue is to put on the table the great challenges that the biomass sector will have to face in the coming years, so that this source of energy plays an important role in achieving the objectives established in the future context eurOpeo.
The main goals of the eurOPEA strategy place their horizon in guaranteeing sustainability, supply, energy efficiency and low emissions. Therefore, biomass professionals will have to be prepared to adapt their business to the new regulatory requirements that will govern market development in the coming years.
