Ecoloma Biocombustibles obtains the quality seal for Andalusian biomass

The company Ecoloma Biocombustibles has obtained the Andalusian biomass quality seal, BICA, which is awarded by the Andalusian Renewable Energy Association (CLANER) to solid biofuels of Andalusian origin that meet the quality requirements demanded for obtaining the certificate, whose standards are above the current national and international regulations (UNE and ISO).

The BICA seal, achieved by Ecoloma Biocombustibles after passing the rigorous certification process required for it, certifies that the biomass produced and marketed by the company meets the most demanding requirements in functionality and qualities such as its calorific value, density and dryness.

The Andalusian Renewable Energy Association has emphasized the importance of Andalusian biomass producers and marketers having a quality seal, such as BICA, which guarantees to the market that their biofuel – olive pits, pellets or wood chips – is suitable for new generation boilers and installations, which have greater heat and environmental performance.

Therefore, CLANER invites biomass companies to contact the association to begin the certification of their products through the BICA seal, which, among other advantages, represents a significant factor of differentiation and competitiveness for companies specializing in solid biofuels.
