Duro Felguera will be in charge of the operation and maintenance of Ence's 50 MW electric biomass renewable energy plant in Huelva, for a period of two years. Additionally, the contract establishes an extension to an additional period of 3 years.
In this way, the company reinforces its positioning in renewable energies, and particularly in biomass, where it has been operating and maintaining this type of plants for more than 10 years, which are highly complex due to the variability of the fuel.
In the case of this installation, in which Duro Felguera has several years of accumulated experience with previous contracts, it is a boiler with fluidized bed technology, which allows a wide range of fuels, which in turn implies high requirement in the operation of the plant. Furthermore, this new milestone will allow the company to consolidate its geographical establishment in an industrial center as relevant as Huelva, where a multitude of companies operate in sectors such as mining, refining and petrochemicals, and energy generation.
