Between June and July 2020, six new companies joined ESWET ( Eur Suppliers of Waste to Energy Technology), the trade association representing suppliers of waste-to-energy technology. The Brussels-based association now has 26 members, including the world's leading players in the waste-to-energy sector.

The new members of ESWET are AC Boilers, Clyde Bergemann Power Group, Loibl Förderanlagen, Mitsubishi Power Eur, Sumitomo SHI FW and Valmet.

Five of these companies have long-standing membership in another EU trade association: Energy Technologies Eur, which covers the broader field of energy conversion technologies. Having shared an increasing number of topics and activities in recent years, discussions developed between the two associations on how to increase their efficiency at the EU level. Ultimately, they decided to join forces under the ESWET label.

This strategic measure will trigger more intensa activity on various issues related to waste-to-energy conversion, with particular attention to the latest innovations developed by the sector. Furthermore, it will allow the association and its members to make a more significant contribution to eurclimate neutrality plans and to the role of eurindustry in the years to come.

The new members come from various eurcountries: AC Boilers is based in Italy; Clyde Bergemann Power Group, Loibl Förderanlagen, and Mitsubishi Power Eurare headquartered in Germany; and Sumitomo Shi FW and Valmet are based in Finland. The expertise and innovation they bring to the association are important assets for further strengthening ESWET's promotional activities.

“We are very pleased to see the partnership thriving at such a positive pace, which reflects the important role of Waste-to-Energy within the eurwaste management framework. This technology has proven to be an essential feature for the sustainable treatment of non-recyclable waste,” commented Siegfried Scholz, President of ESWET.

“By joining forces, we are confident that we can achieve a greater impact on sustainable thermal energy generation on the path to climate neutrality. We are very pleased that this growth opportunity has been seized by the members of Energy Technologies Eur ,” added Martin Pogoreutz, President of Energy Technologies Eur .
ESWET – the Eur Waste-to-Energy Technology Providers – currently has 26 members, with 20 full members and 6 associate members, from 9 European countries eur bringing together the main players in the waste-to-energy manufacturing sector.
