Biomass heating for public spaces in a small municipality of Guadalajara

The Luzon City Council has decided to commit to sustainability, energy efficiency and savings by installing biomass equipment in several of its municipal offices.

The Schools Museum was one of the sites chosen to install two 10 kW equipment and was followed by the Multipurpose Social Center and some municipal housing.

"Until now we had not had any heating system in the Museum, so we consider biomass as the best option, due to price stability and because we are aware that, thanks to this source of energy, our mountains are cleaned, preventing them from burning. when the temperatures are high” – explains Andrés Cabada, mayor of Luzon – “The Schools Museum is our cultural center, it hosts all kinds of exhibitions throughout the year and it is important for us that it is well conditioned and that it transmits values ​​as important things like efficiency and sustainability” – he adds.

In total, 53 kW have been installed throughout the Consistory, concentrated in the museum - two teams of 10 kW each -, the Polivalent Social Center - a 14KW team - and two of 9.5 and in social homes of the municipality, with an investment around 20,000 eur.

Factorverde, with a strong connection to the Guadalajara area, was the company chosen by the City Council to study the energy needs of the spaces and, through its GreenBox brand, recently launched the equipment.
