The company Soluciones de Ingeniería Energética Aplicada SL (SIEA SL) is finalizing the installation process of a 13 tn/h biomass boiler in Jaén for a major brewery to produce steam thanks to the heat generation from biomass with a boiler that will be operational in the coming weeks.
It should be noted that, as this client is classified as providing an essential service during this state of emergency, the installation was carried out under the conditions required by the government due to COVID-19. The installed boiler is a water-tube fire-tube type, model MGV-VRT, designed to generate 13 tons/hour of saturated steam at 15 bar pressure, including a flue gas purification system with a multicyclone and bag filter, and an automatic biomass feeding system meeting minimum quality and performance standards.
The boiler features excellent combustion gas flow design, enabling high thermal efficiency and minimizing the effects of particle settling inside the flame tubes. This results in reduced downtime for cleaning. The project also includes an automated fuel silo extraction system with a capacity of 450 m³, fully integrated with the boiler, ensuring proper control during the plant's automatic operation.
Currently, tests are being carried out on site for its commissioning during the month of September.
